Competition - Coming Soon - Read & Be Ready!!!!

Anyone that knows me knows that one of my passions is photography, I have to admit that my eldest is now so used to the camera she will pose as soon as she sees my Iphone... :-)

I always say to my brides you need to find a photographer that can see that little extra sparkle and pull it through the lens..

A couple of days ago I came across Julie Vance and to me she is one of the best examples of what I mean...

I love seeing photos of the little details that some people can miss. The picture of the MOB wiping away a tear or the smile on the bride's face as she receives a kiss on the cheek from her new husband. These are the types of photos that can make you remember how you felt on that day and not just how you looked (even if you did look stunning!)

When I build up a supplier list for one of my brides I always make sure that each contact is personal. Someone that one that big day you can go to and know they will do what ever it takes to make sure you relax and shine. This busy mum of three is now clearly on that list for me.

Well anyway to get to the point of this post (you know what I am like for going off track)
Julie is going to be running a competition for 1 lucky couple to receive free wedding photography from her this year between September and December!!!!

Not only that but the prize will include an engagement shoot, full day wedding coverage and a disc of all the images!!!!!

Now baring in mind that Julie's prices start at £995 and go up to £1,595 for album packages this is an absolutely fantastic offer!!!!

At the moment I am waiting on all the details on how to enter so please stay with me. however if you want me to let you know then just ping me your email address or contact Julie direct and between us we will make sure you know about all the details!!!

Anyway I am off to look through her photos again. Think I have at least two brides who are going to LOVE her work!!!!

oh, and if you are a social media butterfly like myself then check out her twitter or facebook likes

The Black Swan - Wedding Dress???

I have to admit it is something I never thought I would see but fashion-forward brides are loving this latest trend...

Inspired by Natalie Portman's latest hit  film, Black Swan. A sinister adaptation of the  classic ballet Swan Lake, Portman plays the dual roles of Odette (in white) and evil Odile (in black).

The trend seen here in Rosa Clará's Spring/Summer 2011 catwalk show gives you a hint as to what we may see from some adventurous brides this Summer.

Vintage Wedding Shoot

These gorgeous photos were sent to me by photographer, Deville, and I LOVE them! A bridal themed shoot using dresses and accessories sourced from various second hand and vintage stores in and around London.

This vintage bridalwear shoot was styled and photographed by Deville – she aims to show how old dresses with a history of their own can be beautifully utilised in a modern day setting. The dresses were sourced from vintage stores in London including Beyond Retro and This Shop Rocks and ranged in price from £35 to £200.

The shoot took place in a number of locations including the maze at Crystal Palace park, West Wickham woods and an abandoned girls school in Surrey. Pretty cool I think and just goes to show that with a little bit of searching you can find a beautiful dress well within budget!
